That's a good plan. Once I owned the 2016 Fiat 124 Spider. It was a fantastic ride and a lot of people were talking to me because of that beauty. But well, I must say that getting out of the car was a struggle. Had to sell it later due to a slipped disc in my cervical spine which will not fully recover. But I was really loving the car. Well, except when I was shopping. I had so much to think about how much stuff I actually can take with me. So as much as I loved it especially in the summer to open the rooftop (very easy and quick - it's based on the Mazda Miata MX-5 ND) but as a daily driver it was a stupid idea, haha.

I was recently also deciding to get rid of my 2019 Fiat Tipo SW (Dodge Neon Mk3 station wagon) because it's too boring and I was deciding to get something cool. Got myself a blue Jaguar X-Type Sport from 2001. I already experienced that people walk to me to congratulate me for the beautiful car and I just have picked it up on Saturday. The last car when it happened like this was with the Spider. The old Audi is also sometimes getting people's attention but by far less than back then with the Spider. So definately a cool car - also age didn't like to be cool. But glad there can be also cool cars that are friendly for old hurting backs, haha

@@charlesdiecastgarage The third generation was built from 2016 to 2021 in Bursa (Turkey) by Tofas who also built the second generation of the Fiat Tipo which is literally the same car. The Fiat Tipo was re-badged as a Dodge Neon and as far as I know only exported from Turkey to Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. It never made it to the US for unknown reason. The Station Wagon was limited to the Fiat Tipo but I decided to get the Dodge Neon grill on it, lol. It was overall a good car but it didn't bring a lot of emotions to me. So I decided for the current change to the Jag.

Glyn, love knows no boundaries, lol. But I can imagine it must be a big of a struggle to park the car. Assuming such a low car struggles already to drive over a low curb. Tomorrow there will be an episode of some low tuning cars. I bet there's also one which may struggle on low curbs. This Simca here is still used for motorsport. 2 years ago I also heard it - it's so loud! In last year I've seen it once here in the daily traffic. But the rest of the time I didn't see it at all. These Simcas are also super rare here. In France they still care for these old Simcas. I was also thinking about visiting classic car shows in France but I don't understand a word in French. France isn't too far away from where I'm living. Around an hour to drive. Yes, in this year we've seen already some interesting and great cars. But the weather will be also a bit worse in the next 1-2 weeks. So I don't know how much else I can find to film. But I also need to do other things instead of only filming, editing and uploading videos, hehe.

@@TipTopMotors. Haha, I was already wondering. Lose makes of course much more sense than love, hehe. France is actually even much closer but there are only a hand full of bridges over the rhine river. By the way the battery in the Jag seems to be alright. Just checked it with a multimeter and it is 12.4 Volt when engine is off and 13.9 Volt when engine is running (and radio was playing). Assuming it's a sensor showing in the board computer too low values of approx. 0.5-0.8 Volt. One connector on the plus cable is looking a bit corroded. So perhabs I can even fix this issue by myself with a wire brush.

Echt einmalig, sogar gleich 2 davon. Die Götting ist wirklich ein geniales Auto. Super schnittig, topmodernes Design für die damalige Zeit und technisch auch sehr innovativ.

Ja die haben da echt cooles Zeug aufgefahren. Ich glaube zwar, dass es im Vergleich zu vor 2 Jahren fast das Gleiche gewesen ist, aber langweilig wars auf keinen Fall.

Mostlikely I am seeing the 635 CSi but I'm also remembering a white 628 CSi from time to time which seems to be on the same level of rarity like the M635. A couple of years ago the 840 was super cheap - I can remember when a friend of mine told me how cheap they are and I couldn't believe it but they were really down around 4,000-10,000 Euros. Nowadays they start at around 20,000 Euros if not even already more. The Z8 is really super rare - haven't seen many in my life. I'm thinking only 2-3 (because I am not sure if the silver one from this exhibition was perhabs the other one that I've seen once at the Classics & Coffee).

@@BFDdrives The 840/850 was the same in the uk could pick up a nice one for about £3500-3995 and then became desirable and much more expensive. Prices went up after the 635 had gone up and i suppose those who couldn't afford a 635 bought the 840/850.

@@TipTopMotors. I assume the same. It's also when looking about the BMW 3-series. The E21 (first generation) wasn't so desirable for a long time. So prices were low. But since everyone was going for the E30 and these prices already went crazy then nowadays the E21 is suddenly also interesting. The happy thing is to also see the E21 more often on classic car shows, now. It was for a long time also not seen at all.

I also like the bus. It's even covered with gold plates. 2 years ago when there was the last Kimmich Open they had a similar bus but in white. I find it very interesting because they're using it as a free shuttle to get through the entire industrial area. Unfortunately when I decided to use it then it didn't show up because the driver had his lunch. I had the same bad luck 2 years ago, haha. Oh by the way, one problem at my Jaguar solved by itself. Sometimes the fault is sitting on the driver's seat, haha. I was assuming the sprayer for the wiper water isn't working but I simply didn't know that it doesn't work the same way as for all other cars I owned before. There's a little button on the wiper stick and I've to push it in and then it sprays the water. I was used to simply pull the stick towards the steering wheel like on every other car (Fiat, Mercedes, VW/Audi, Peugeot). But at least this means that it doesn't need to get fixed.

The red engine in the Mercedes E-class W210 looks amazing although it's actually smaller than expected. Because the Brabus B9 W210 is based on the E280 4-matic with 6 cylinders. Brabus did also some tunings with up to a 5.8L V12 engine which was insanely fast. But this one here was the "cheap" version of it. The red mini car at 8:20/8:56 is the BMW 600 - it's also called to be the big Isetta. Thanks a lot. I usually end the videos with my car - unless the battery runs flat, lol.

I also prefer the facelifts with the smoked rear lights. Ah, interesting to know about the TR250 (but I bet I'll have forgotten about it again when I'm seeing one again). The TR5 / TR250 is also not this often on such shows. TR4 and TR4A is something I am seeing a little bit more often which is actually looking as same to me. I've also seen a couple of TR6 on some classic car shows. The W123 is also already the most popular classic car in Germany (with road legal registration). It overtook the VW Beetle around 2 years ago. But there are also really some in very nice condition. Well, it is also always depending on the guy working for the TÜV. Some are very strict and others are feeling these old cars way different. Assuming the problem was that this TÜV guy was a younger guy. When I've been to another TÜV garage then there was an older guy and he was just celebrating it to see such an old already rare classic. The older guys are aware there can be some patina on the cars in this age and when the value of the cars didn't rise insanely then you can't expect someone to get it completely painted to look like a brandnew car. At the end I was still getting the sticker for 2026 and so everything is fine. Minor technical issues that should get done until 2026 is not the big problem and that's what I am focussing because the other things on the paint weren't an issue for the last 9 years.

@@BFDdrives Yes, I have always liked these later XJS', but as an enthusiast, I have a big weak spot for the very early (pre H.E.) cars. I am appreciating the TR series much more now than I did when I was younger. The TR6 is very common at shows here. That's very interesting about the TÜV. I am thinking then that the older testers use their discretion more than the younger ones. Glad to hear it is tested now for another two years. The paintwork looks great for its age. What year is the car?

@@ValleyDieCast The paint is indeed great for its age when considering the most of it is still the original paint. Just the rear end was partially restored a few years ago due to some cracking filling paste on the right side of the rear end. The Audi is from 1983.

I am remembering that the Opel GT was also exported to the USA. But I didn't find any numbers about to where the most of them were going. In my childhood I was seeing some more so these seemed to have been quite popular. The Lotus Esprit is really amazing! Loving this design. The Land Cruiser is really amazing - I also like the size of it. These also have been quite popular. But the most went into the export sales to Africa. So nowadays the Land Cruisers are super rare. I heard the export trading companies did also pay a good amount of money for the export. So keeping them in Germany was for many people not as lucrative.

@@BFDdrives I don't think they were ever sold new in the UK, but I may be wrong on that. Lotus really did well in getting the original car used in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', even if the engine sound in the film wasn't genuine! I had heard lots of this generation of Land Cruiser were exported to Africa. They are rare here now also.

It's always amazing to see the variety of classic and retro cars there. This show is also taking place on almost every Sunday from middle of April to beginning of October. Of course the most cars are Mercedes-Benz cars. But it is also happening very often to find there cars you've never seen before. I am always impressed about it. I was there on last Sunday again. But there wasn't as many people - probably because we had mother's day. Seen lots of cars on the road but less on the meeting. Totally loving the old Stroke 8 ... it also disappeared for some years. But after the pandemic I was finally getting to see more of them again. Assuming a lot of people did use the lockdown to restore their classics. I totally love the design of the Alfa Romeo GTV6. On May 21st will be the start of another series from a classic car show in Weil der Stadt. There I've seen the smaller sibling of the GTV6, the Alfasud Sprint. Also looking amazing and nowadays super rare.

@@BFDdrives It's one of the best varieties I have seen, considering it was located at the Mercedes-Benz museum! I have seen quite a few Stoke 8s coming into the UK from Japan, most of them have the 6-cylinder engine and are very original. The GTV6 has some of my favourite engines of all time - the Busso V6. The Sprint is a wonderful car also. Looking forward to watching those videos.

@@ValleyDieCast This classic car show is really one of my favorites also because it is happening at almost every Sunday during the warm weather time - so if there's no other interesting classic car show nearby then this is always a great address. Then of course als because it is not limited to the Mercedes brand. So there's such a great variety. And also cars with an age of at least 20 years can visit - these cars also have vanished a lot. When I am looking at my recent purchase - a 2001 Jaguar X-Type - then I can't remember that I've seen them this often in the last couple of years. I've been there with the X-Type at last Sunday and the guy at the entrance told me I shall definately come with it again on next Sunday, hehe. These Japan imports can be also interesting. The Japanese are also owning cars just as part of a collection. So these can be quite often also in a great condition (although of course some parts can go broken when it's standing most of the time at the same place).

@@BFDdrives It's great that this show happens almost every Sunday. If I had a show nearby almost every Sunday, I'd be there a lot! Also great that cars of at least 20 years can enter - there's a lot of interesting and rare vehicles from that period. Interesting about the X-Type, 2001 is very early for these. I've read about cars in collections in Japan - sometimes they are kept in strange places, for example, office blocks!

@@ValleyDieCast I also like the fact they invite cars from 20 years of age. The typical car is usually for 10-15 years around and then the most will just disappear into the export when fixing costs as much as the car's value. But well, I am quite often thinking if they're knowing the rest is alright then it's worth spending the money and to keep the car - it's not like these repairs will be higher than to buy a good car ... I am seeing it currently at my brother. A few things are broken on his old Vectra and he'd need to spend around 2000 Euros to get everything fixed (he doesn't even need to fix everything of it). But when he wants to drive something that has no problems for at least 2 years then he'd have to spend at least 4000-6000 Euros because the prices went up like crazy. The cars that did cost around 500 Euros cost nowadays 2000-2500 Euros ... it is so crazy. So fixing an old car does make sense again. I also had my struggles finding a good X-Type without rusty sills. My X-Type is indeed very early. It is in fact one of the first ones in Germany. According to the VIN it was the 168th X-Type from the series production. It was registered in early April 2001. According to Wikipedia the sales started in July 2001 in Germany. The first owner was Jaguar Germany. They unregistered it in May 2001 (so probably it was a launch car - unfortunately Jaguar couldn't answer me that). Then re-registered it in July. In September the first person bought the car. Then in July 2004 the next owner bought it and just sold it in March this year. So the last owner owned it for 20 years. I read the same thing about car collections in Japan. They don't use them a lot. Just showing it here and there makes them happy.

It's definately - there were a lot of classic cars. It is one of the biggest classic car expos in Germany. I took around 500 fotos on that day.

It's always the same when I am seeing the classic car shows from UK. So many British cars that didn't make it over to here. Always fascinating when seeing cars that are unknown to me. The 530ix Enduro is really something special. Never seen before. When I saw it there then my first thought was also that this could be a camper rooftop.

Vielen Dank! Gab wirklich schöne Autos auf der Messe. Ich habe über 500 Fotos geschossen und da habe ich dennoch einige nicht fotografiert. War wirklich bombastisch die Messe, auch wenn sie im Vergleich zu vor Corona etwas kleiner erschien, zumindest waren noch 2 andere Messen auf der anderen Seite. Ich meine früher hatten die in jeder Halle irgendwas von der Retro Classics. Aber ist auch ewig her gewesen als ich hier das letzte Mal war. Aber waren echt tolle Autos da.

То, что вы увидели на этой ярмарке, определенно рай. Я сделал более 500 фотографий. Много отличных автомобилей. И я все равно сфотографировал лишь малую часть. Что-то будет появляться время от времени в нескольких эпизодах, разделенных тематически.

Ja, waren echt schöne Autos von BMW und Glas dabei. Habe einige Stände ausgelassen, weil irgendwann konnte ich kaum mehr gerade aus gehen. Aber trotzdem über 500 Fotoaufnahmen geschossen. Und das obwohl ich nicht auf jedes Fahrzeug drauf gehalten hatte.

Hallo Ralf! Der alte Kapitän ist wirklich der Hammer. Hatte den ja zunächst für einen Opel Rekord P2 gehalten, aber so kann man daneben liegen. War doch nochmal eine Schippe größer der Wagen. Der Cutlass gefällt mir auch ganz gut - die Rückleuchten die in der Chromstoßstange integriert sind, sind echt ein Highlight.
